Personalize a backpack

There was a big sale on backpacks back in the very early part of summer.  It had lots of the Pottery Barn, Lands End backpacks with names embroidered on them.  It's great if you can find your child's name.  Mine, aren't too common so I really wasn't expecting to find one.  Which I didn't.  But for the prices I couldn't let them get by me.
So, I spent a good few hours unpicking the cute name off the backpack.  Wondering if it was worth it the whole time.  I even ran to Wal-Mart to see if I could find a new one that I liked.  I didn't.  Plus this one is so nice.  It even has padding.  So I prevailed.
Ta Da!
It was late when I took the pictures, so lighting isn't the greatest.  But I think it turned out great.  I even like it better than the embroidery.
I pulled out my trusty Silhouette machine and used the fuzzy heat transfer material.
I wasn't able to get ALL the embroidery off.  But I covered it all up, so you would never know!
I finally got it finished Sunday night.  School started Monday.  Yes, I cut it very close.
Miss C approved of it whole heartily.  And that made it all worth it.
